What you agree to by reading this site

Not much. This is a brochure site. Nothing is sold through it, there is no account to open, and there is nothing to log into. These terms cover reading it and getting in touch, and that is all.

They do not govern work we do for you, which runs on a signed engagement letter, and they do not govern the internet scanning described on the scanning page.

Using the site means accepting these terms

If you do not accept them, stop using the site. We may revise them, in which case the date above moves. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the revised version. We do not keep an archive of previous versions, so if a specific wording matters to you, save a copy.

What the content is

Reading this does not hire us

Everything here is general information about what 22 Security does. It is not legal advice, not regulatory advice, and not an assessment of your systems. Security and compliance decisions turn on facts specific to your environment, your contracts, and your regulators, none of which a public web page can know.

Reading the site, sending an email, or booking a call does not create a consulting engagement, a professional relationship, or a duty of care. An engagement starts when both sides sign an engagement letter, or when you accept a private offer on AWS Marketplace. That agreement defines the scope, the deliverables, the confidentiality terms, and the liability, and it governs the work. This page neither narrows it nor widens it.

Descriptions of past work are summaries. They are not promises of a comparable result for you, and details have been generalized where client confidentiality requires it.

Content and marks

What belongs to whom

The 22 Security name, the mark, the logo, and the text, layout, and design of these pages belong to 22 Security LLC. You are welcome to read any of it, quote it briefly with attribution, and link to any page without asking. Reusing the brand marks, or reproducing substantial portions of the writing, needs written permission first.

The site is built on a commercially licensed template. That license runs between us and the template’s author and grants you no rights in it.

Acceptable use

What not to do here

Ordinary reading, linking, and crawling that respects robots.txt is fine and needs no permission. Beyond that, please do not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to this site, the infrastructure behind it, or any account or data that is not yours.
  • Interfere with the availability of the site for anyone else, including through denial-of-service traffic.
  • Scrape or mirror the site at a rate that degrades it, or in a way that ignores robots.txt.
  • Use the site, its content, or its brand marks to impersonate 22 Security or to imply an endorsement or engagement that does not exist.

If you think you have found a security flaw in this site, we would rather hear about it than not. Email abuse@22security.com with enough detail to reproduce it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it before going public.

Links that leave this site

Some links go elsewhere, such as Calendly for booking, Credly for verifying certifications, and LinkedIn. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, their availability, or how they handle your data. Once you follow one, their terms and their privacy policy apply. What we share with them is described in our privacy policy.

Warranties and liability

The limits on this site

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the content is complete, accurate, or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, 22 Security LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this site, including lost profits or lost data, even if we were told such loss was possible.

This paragraph is about the website only. Liability arising from a signed engagement is governed by the cap in that agreement, which this does not alter. And nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of North Carolina have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about this site. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live, this clause does not take that right away.

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
